ExploreMetro: ExploreMetro
ExploreMetro wanted to create an online metro map for major Chinese cities which was informative and easy to use. We created slick, feature-rich interactive metro maps as web applications and iPhone apps. Each station included timetable information and an audio pronounciation. The app was internationalised to English and Chinese, with instant translations between the two langauges. We also implemented a route-planner with a PHP backend which caclulated the fastest route between two stations. Our technology platform is now used to power similar sites for Beijing, Guangzhou and Hong Kong.
